Cozy cabin days 🖤 @eddiebauer | If you have been following me for a while now you will have picked up on the fact I spend quite a bit of time at our family cabin out at the lake. We use to spend every Summer in Osoyoos, BC for weeks and as all us sisters got older it got more and more difficult for us all to find the time in the Summer to be there at the same time. When my father first mentioned getting a cabin closer to home - 25 minutes away - it was a bitter sweet thing. Yes we wouldn’t be spending every Summer for a couple weeks together in +35 heat BUT we would have a place we could use year round! That means boating and other water activities all Summer and then taking advantage of the Winter months as well. Cozy wood burning fires, skiing on the lake with no one around, our own local ‘getaway’. Grateful to have this little piece of heaven to ‘escape’ too with everything going on currently. *

All things are possible with coffee and a dog - am I right? 🖤 | Cozy days spent at @mountengadine lodge. Craig and I are currently out at our family cabin with Timbo, enjoying the quietness - grateful to have it only 22minutes from our house in town. Walks along the lake, the wood burning fire, board games, cross country skiing, Netflix, attempting to ‘Tik Tok’ and coffee, coffee and more coffee. Hope you all are having a great start to the day and plan to get some fresh air | I went for a little ski this morning, followed by a run and plan to head for a little walk later on. Grateful for the #freshairandfreedom
My favourite place in all of Red Deer ❤️ | I am so excited to be partnering with @eddiebauer for the next 5 weeks to share with you some of their new Spring items. 2020 marks their 100th birthday!!!! Usually I would be heading out to the mountains and spending most of my time there - but things have changed a bit and that’s okay. I had planned a trip for Craig and I to Arizona for a week in April, for his birthday, but with everything going on and borders closing majority of our time spent over the next few weeks will be around town. Red Deer has 110kms of soft and hard trails, a beautiful river valley, to run and bike on, cross country ski trails, and more. We will also be spending more time at our family cabin on the lake which is 22 minutes from our house. I know you guys are use to seeing more mountains on here but I am excited to share with you over the next while some of the things I am doing to stay busy around here as well, in hopes to inspire you all to still #findyourselfoutside during these times without having to go that far! I know the mountains/hiking has been a VERY hot topic for people and I do believe it can be done safely, on easier trails, with minimal people and social distancing, and getting out with that person you are living with. It’s about being smart. Our mental and physical health is VERY important, and getting out in the fresh air and moving your body will help us through these times. If we don’t monitor that we will be looking at dealing with even bigger issues on top of what we already are 🖤
Happy National Puppy Day! Thought I’d share some older puppy videos of Timber to brighten your day - I know then brightened mine | This photo was taken when Timber was only 3.5 months old - I carried him up the mountain in my backpack, he would get out and walk every once and a while. Today he is beating me up every single one! Hahaha proud of how far he’s come ❤️ #nationalpuppyday

Craig, Timber and I went for a run this morning, did some home workouts and have been hanging around the house, got groceries and are going to do another walk outside later on. FINALLY decided on a camera to buy, with my older one having the issues it’s been having (I took it as a sign) - so confirming that order that was a pretty exciting thing. Thanks to everyone who messaged with advice!! I had been using my Canon Rebel t5i for the last 5 years and figured it was due for an upgrade... and what better time to be playing around with a new camera and learning then now at home 🏠 !? #freshairandfreedom
